People who are taking part in Remembrance Day commemorations around the Island next Sunday will be able to travel for free on public transport.
IOM Government have announced that anyone in uniform, including cadets and scouts and those with evidence of military service will be exempt from paying to travel on Sunday 10th November.
Member with responsibility for Public Transport, Jason Moorhouse MHK said: ‘We offered free travel for the first time last year when it was well-received by the community.
'Doing this not only shows support for those taking part in such important events, but also helps to ease congestion and parking issues as there are fewer cars on the road.
‘The measure will last all day and applies to everyone taking part in an official event or parade.’
