Inquest into death of Santon car crash victim adjourned

An inquest into the death of a 19-year-old who died from a car crash collision last week has opened and been adjourned.

At Douglas Courthouse this morning, Coroner of Inquests John Needham opened the inquest of Katie Robley of Ballasalla, who passed away on Friday 26th October from serious injuries to the head and cardiac arrest.

Mr Needham's report detailed how the victim was taken to the intensive care unit at Nobles Hospital, and pronounced dead at 10:30pm.

The Coroner of Inquests concluded the inquest by offering his sincere condolences to the victim's family and that the inquest was adjourned, with a date to be fixed for the reopening of the inquest.
