Fundraiser launched in crash victim's memory gains overwhelming support

Mon, 28 Oct 2019

The family friend of a teenager who died in a two-vehicle road traffic collision has launched a fundraiser in her memory.

'Remembering Katie' was set-up by Cait Alivia McCardle online, after her childhood friend 19-year-old Katie Robley tragically died in a car crash on Friday in Santon.

Cait hopes to raise funds for a mental health charity, as Katie was an advocate for mental health and had created a Facebook page, 'Healthy Body, Healthy Mind', which Cait says she hopes will gain support to help others.

So far the fundraiser on Go Fund Me has exceeded the £500 target, so far over £1,340 donations have been made.

Speaking to Energy FM Cait said she is overwhelmed at the support received from the public so far:
