19-year-old killed in A5 collision

A 19-year-old woman has died following a serious collision on the A5.

Emergency services were called to the two-car crash on the Douglas to Castletown Road on Friday night.

Officers have confirmed 19-year-old Katie Robley died as result of her injuries.

Katie's boyfriend Jay remains in a stable but critical condition in hospital.

Detective Sergeant Alan Shimmin said: The investigation is still ongoing at this time and it is requested that the privacy of both families are respected at this difficult time.”

Detective Sergeant Alan Shimmin also said, “Katie's family would thank the emergency services for what they did that evening and the continued support and help they have received from the hospital staff.”
