Port Erin Coasguards have rescued a dog from Bradda Head.

Last night at around 6.05pm teams were called to attend to a young boxer, which was trapped on headland in the area.

Crews located the dog after a brief search and the owner was not in any difficulty.

A member of the Coastguards made their way to the dog and carried it back safely to the path.

Crews had completed their rescue by 7.15pm and returned to the station.
