Volunteers needed to plant trees near Glen Helen

A tree planting session needs volunteers this weekend to plant native deciduous trees at Glen Helen.

 

The Isle of Man Woodland Trust will meet at 10:30am at Eairy Mooar Farm on Saturday 12th.

 

The charity hopes to plant 1,000 trees by the end of the last session on Saturday 26th October.

 

Falk is from the Woodland Trust, he says people with no prior experience are welcome to attend the sessions and should wear suitable clothing for wet and muddy conditions.

 

He said although global warming is a world wide effort to tackle, doing small things such as tree planting can help the global cause:
