A local woman has launched a petition calling for 5,000 signatures to save a folklife display at the Manx Museum in Douglas.
Lynn Mather, who was a civil servant working in the museum in the 70s, began her petition via Change.org – so far there are over 2,750 signatures.
She says she wants Manx National Heritage not to go ahead with transforming the folklife gallery into a new TT exhibition, which would be installed by 2022:
Manx National Heritage’s Director Edmund Southworth says that the plans for the new exhibition means that the gallery’s set build will be updated for a more modern and up-to-date feature area:
