A rescheduled day for people to try out fire fighting training has been organised by the Fire and Rescue Service.
Due to last week’s bad weather and flooding, the original first ‘Come and Try It’ session was cancelled.
It’s now taking place on Monday 14th October from 6:15pm at Douglas Fire Station, with another session on Thursday 17th at the same time and place.
Evenings will involve physical activity exercises involved in the recruitment process, such as hose running, speed tests and breathing apparatus.
The Fire Service are recruiting Wholetime and Retained Firefighters at Douglas, Laxey, Ramsey, Kirk Michael, Peel and Rushen fire stations.
