Two arrests have been made after an elderly man was injured during a hit and run in Onchan.
Two men, aged 30 and 22 from Douglas, were arrested after being located on Victoria Road after there was a hit and run at Port Jack, which led to two vehicles being damaged and a pedestrian, aged 89, injured.
A Mazda car involved in the crash was found abandoned on the Promenade near the Summerland site.
Police searched the area where they found the two men - they have since been charged with offences in relation to the incident and are due in court today.
The elderly man is said to be ’well’ and recieved treatment at Noble’s Hospital.
Police and family of the injured man would like to thank members of the public who helped at the scene.
