A team of four friends have completed the Mongol Rally to raise funds for Hospice Isle of Man and anti-deforestation charity, Cool Earth.
Manxies Fern and Adam Callister, Katharine Watling and Australian Dan Simpson set-off in a furry, pink/yellow/blue/green striped, 20-year-old Toyota hatchback from Douglas to India in the middle of July.
Calling themselves ‘Team Mad Manx’, they travelled across Europe, even getting stopped by police in Germany, to total just under 13,000 miles across Mongolia to Russia.
The entire journey took just under two months to complete in total, but this is just one of the excursions Team Mad Manx have undertaken – in 2016 they took part in the Rickshaw Challenge travelling throughout India.

Fern said although by the end of the challenge they were tired, they helped some fellow Rally racers to tow their broken-down car:
