Samaritans Isle of Man have thanked members of the public who turned out for an emotive event held on Tuesday night.
The charity, which is celebrating 40 years of serving the Island this week, placed 40 pairs of shoes in front of the War Memorial in Douglas to remember those lost to suicide.
Lesley Moughtin said the anniversary is a significant milestone for the charity to thanks all volunteers over the years for their hard work helping others to not feel alone:
