Fire crews from Castletown and Malew have responded to a fire caused by an electrical fault at Ronaldsway Industrial Estate.
Last night at approximately 9:47pm the Fire Service received a report of smoke issuing from the roof of an industrial unit.
Fire crews spoke to the management of the property and quickly identified a fire had broken out within the roof.
Flames were extinguished using high pressure hose reels, with the area checked for fire spread and the fire was contained and stopped from escalating.
An investigation between the IOMFRS and senior officials from the company affected has identified the fire started due to an electrical issue within the roof space.
