Coastal overtopping affects parked vehicles

Police say a number of parked vehicles have been affected by coastal overtopping on Douglas Promenade.

Emergency services have been at the scene since the early hours of this morning.

Car owners who have parked on Loch Promenade have been warned not to attempt to reach their vehicles until further notice.

Officers have also received reports of standing water on the Mountain Road (inclusive) along both carriageways.

A yellow weather warning for heavy rain remains in place until 10am.
