Tim Baker MHK has been appointed with responsibility for Highways Services.
His new role will coincide with his DOI role as Member for Ports, retaining his position as political member for the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture and chairman for Isle of Man Meats.
Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer MHK announced the new political delegation today, saying: 'I’m delighted Tim has agreed to take on this additional delegation, and I look forward to him providing the Highways division with the conscientious political support required to help deliver the wide range of services it provides.'
Mr Baker said on his appointment: ‘Highway Services play a key role in all our everyday lives and I look forward to providing strategic oversight to such a busy division, using my experience in the private sector and insight I have gained through three years with the Department of Infrastructure.
‘I have met many of the staff already, who are clearly passionate about the work they do, and look forward to making a positive impact.’
