Island hopes to break World Record Attempt tomorrow

Fri, 27 Sep 2019

Residents on the Island still have time to sign up to be part of a world record attempt.

The Isle of Man will attempt break the record for the most people dressed as fairies in one place.

Oliver Cheshire from Douglas Town Centre Management says:‘It’s going to be a fantastic fun afternoon and we’re thrilled to have – for one day only – local band Looney and Fairies performing live in full fairy fabulousness.

‘To quality as a fairy, entrants must come dressed in a tutu and wings with a wand. So we’re asking all wannabe fairies to get creative and get down to Villiers Square before 3pm on Saturday September 28 and let’s show the world just how magical the Isle of Man can be.’

The gathering point will be Villiers Square, from where the procession of fairies will make its way to Regent Street and on to Strand Street, Castle Street and Marina Road to arrive for the head count at the Villa Marina Gardens.
