A new Captain of Lonan has been appointed by the Lietenant Governor Sir Richard Gozney.
Captain Stephen Carter has accepted Sir Gozney’s request to replace the late Mr Jack Faragher CP, who served as Captain of the Parish of Lonan for 24 years.
A statement from Government House states: ‘The Lieutenant Governor will swear in Captain Carter at Government House this autumn.
‘Captain Carter is a well-known figure in Lonan. He served for years on the Board of Lonan Commissioners, including two terms as Chairman. In addition he continues his long maritime career in the Isle of Man.’
