Freedom Travel among liquidated companies under Thomas Cook branch
Wed, 25 Sep 2019
The Island's Douglas store has been closed since then, with signs on the doors explaining how they are helping customers who had booked travel through them.
The UK Government website says If you have paid the Thomas Cook companies in liquidation for goods or services that you haven’t received, you will need to register as a creditor in the liquidation.
The ABTA has given advice online about what to do - if you booked a package holiday through The Freedom Travel Group and the booking is with another tour operator, not Thomas Cook, you will need to contact the tour operator named on your travel documentation or ATOL Certificate.
A statement from Freedom Travel IOM reads: 'Following the unfortunate collapse of Thomas Cook, we would like to assure all of our clients that we are doing everything within our power to try and find a resolution during this difficult period of time. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our clients and reassure them that we will be doing our utmost to support them. We are very sorry for the impact on our local friends at the Thomas Cook branch, and offer any assistance we can to their employees and clients.
'We thank all our clients for their patience and support at this time and will provide an update as soon as we can.'
