Duo take on '3 Country Challenge' for Alzheimer's awareness

Fri, 20 Sep 2019

Two friends are hoping to raise £15,000 to fund a challenge across Ireland, England and the Isle of Man to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.

Jake Hodgson and Danny Roberts will set off on their ‘3 Country Challenge’ in April 2020, cycling 185 miles across the width of Ireland; running 12 miles across the width of the Isle of Man and walking 190 miles across the width of England.

Once finished, the pair will split the donations three ways to support the Irish, UK and IOM Alzheimer’s Society branches.

They are asking people to donate to their JustGiving page.

On the page Jake has said: ‘On this occasion we will be helping to raise awareness for the Alzheimer's Society and the fight against Dementia, which can unfortunately effect us all, especially in later life. Not only does this have a devastating effect for the person diagnosed with dementia, it can also cause awful circumstances for the patients family dealing with it.’
