Douglas 73-bed care home planning app submitted

Plans for a new 73-bed care home have been submitted.

The planning application is from Homefield Care Ltd, who are proposing to build on the former Department of Home Affairs site in Douglas.

They wish to demolish the existing building and replace it with a three-storey care home, spending around £5m overall.

As well as 73 rooms, it would create 60 jobs and estimated to be completed by 2021.
