Island's first Green Party Conference this weekend

The Island's first Green Party Conference will take place this weekend with speakers visiting from around the world.

On Saturday 21 September the Isle of Man Green Party, which is made-up of numerous different organisations, will host the event at the Salmon Lake Centre in Laxey from 7:30pm.

The party states on their website that the conference is 'raising the profile of the expertise, knowledge and inspiring individuals in the Isle of Man, and engaging with some of the fundamentally important concepts and ideas of our time: climate change; community; local produce; clean energy; and equitable transport.'
