Inquest into death of Classic TT rider adjourned

An inquest into the death of a Classic TT rider has been opened and adjourned.

37-year-old Chris Swallow of New Zealand was racing in this year's Festival of Motorcycling event, when he lost control of his bike and crashed at Ballaugh Bridge on 24 August.

Coroner of Inquests Mrs Jayne Hughes opened and adjourned the inquest this morning at Douglas Courthouse, stating that Mr Swallow died from 'multiple injuries,' including an 'unsurvivable head fracture.'

Mrs Hughes told the court that ivestigations are ongoing into the circumstances of Mr Swallows' death, with a date yet to be fixed for the next inquest.
