Couple enter Banger Rally to raise funds for Manx Wild Bird Aid

A young couple from Douglas are raising funds for Manx Wild Bird Aid taking part in the Motoscape Banger Rally.

Paige Havlin and Charlie Shimmins will race across 12 European countries in 7 days via a 20-year-old car, starting in France and finishing in Prague.

They are calling themselves ‘Need for Seed’ and will rally against over 50 teams, setting off on Thursday.

Both hope to raise £500 for the charity, which rehabilitates sick, injured or orphaned wild birds.
