Unemployment rises on the Island

Unemployment has risen on the Island.

The number of people registered out of work rose by 10.6% between June and July.

That is an increase of 13 people from the same month last year.

However, the island’s unemployment rate remains low at 0.8%.

Of the 334 people registered as out of work, 231 are men and 103 are women.
