66-year-old charged with driving on closed roads

Police say a 66-year-old man has been charged with an offence relating to driving on closed roads.

It follows an incident last night in which a car was driven on to the TT course and failed to stop for stewards.

The roads were closed at the time for the planned Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix qualifying session.

The driver was eventually forced to stop by stewards standing in the road.
