Four students from the Island have returned from a trip to South Korea.
The sixth-form students travelled to Yongin at the end of July to take part in the International Linguistics Olympiad at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.
It is the seventh time the Island has sent a team to the competition.
This year the Isle of Man team was made up of Nathan Harmer and Emily Gray from QEII, Alex Reece from Ballakermeen High School, and Asia Hall from King William’s College.
The competition judges students on their ability to analyse and make sense of data and is made up of both individual and team rounds.
Despite being the smallest nation at the event, the Isle of Man finished forty-second out of fifty-five.
