Prom Saga: More cracks appear on new surface

The Government has launched an investigation following more reports of cracks in the newly laid concrete on Douglas Promenade.

Photos show the red concrete  surface between the horse tram tracks on Central Promenade has already started to show cracks.

A government spokesperson told Energy FM News: "The red concrete laid alongside the rails in this section of the Promenade doesn’t appear to be showing any cracks but is being monitored carefully."

"A full investigation is under way in order to assess what has caused this new cracking and how this can be fixed."
