Police on the Isle of Man have seen more than 50 firearms handed in as part of a two-week surrender campaign.
The Firearms Surrender launched on July 20th in a bid to encourage people to hand in any unwanted or illegal firearms to police.
53 Firearms, 1 Crossbow, 80 knives/swords/machetes, 6 prohibited articles/noxious spray/knuckle duster etc & 520 rounds of Ammunition were all handed in.
Those surrendering firearms did not face prosecution for illegal possession and will remain anonymous.
But if further examination of a surrendered firearm reveals a link to a crime, this will be investigated.
