Elderly man dies after car enters river

Police have begun an investigation after the death of a man who was found in a car in a river on the Isle of Man.

Emergency services were called to the Garey Ford area of the Sulby River last night.

A 72-year-old local man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers say it is "unclear" as to how the man died or how the car ended up in the water.

The coroner has been informed.
