Road closed for tree felling

Port-E-Chee Avenue in Douglas will be closed between its junctions with Bray Hill and Douglas Avenue today and tomorrow.

The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture (DEFA) need to fell a mature elm tree which has been found to be infected with Dutch Elm disease.

It is planned to close the road between 9am and 4pm on both days (though the closure may run later if it is critical to operations).

Parking will be suspended in the vicinity of operations to allow a safe working environment.
