Kitchen fire in Peel

Emergency services were called to a kitchen fire in Peel on Saturday.

Fire crews from Peel, Kirk Michael and Douglas were called to Shore Road at just before 5:30am.

Breathing apparatus was used to enter the smoke logged property.

The fire was caused by a pan left on an electric hob.

Crews ventilated the smoke logged property using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

One person was treated for smoke inhalation by paramedics.
