Minister responsible for UK/IOM relations will quit if Boris becomes PM

The Minister who is responsible for relations between the Island and the UK says he'll quit as justice secretary on Wednesday if Boris Johnson becomes prime minister.

David Gauke's told the Sunday Times he couldn't serve under a PM who pursues a no-deal Brexit.

Mr Gauke's role includes managing relations between the British Government and the Crown Dependencies.

The paper also claims up to six Tory MPs are considering defecting to the Lib Dems if Mr Johnson enters Number 10 - leaving him with no majority in the Commons.
