Boundary extension order withdrawn from July's Tynwald sitting

The proposed Port Erin (Boundary Extension) Order 2019 has been withdrawn from this month’s sitting of Tynwald.

The Governemnt says the decision has been made after the Department of Infrastructure received an application for a boundary extension from Rushen Parish Commissioners to include the whole of the Ballakilley estate.

The Department has decided that it cannot now seek approval at the July sitting of Tynwald as planned.

Discussions will take place with both local authorities over the coming months before determining how to proceed.
