Police officers commended at Chief Constable's awards

Tributes have been paid to a number of police officers who have gone the extra mile.

The annual Chief Constable’s Awards Ceremony was held on the Island this week.

It saw officers, special constables and support staff honoured for their long service, achievements and outstanding performances.

A number of constables also received commendations for assisting in saving people’s lives.

The top Chief Constable award, the R. K. Eason Trophy was awarded to Special Constable Ian Horsey for his outstanding performance.

Speaking to MTTV - Mr Horsey said he would like to see more people with specialist skills to join to work across the forces departments.
