Onchan vicar suspended

A vicar on the Island has been suspended.

Reverend Clive Burgess has been "suspended from offices incumbent in the parish of Onchan.

The Diocese say the vicar is unable to have contact with anyone his parish, or carry out any church engagements at the present time.

The current associate vicar at St George, All Saints in Douglas will take temporary responsibility for Onchan.
