Police patrols increased for Southern 100

Isle of Man Constabulary will increase patrols during the Southern 100 road races.

The event started last night on the Billown Circuit in the south of the Island.

The Roads Policing Unit says it will have increased patrols on the A18 Mountain Road as well as other roads popular with visiting motorcycles for the duration of the event.

Additional speed detection will be taking place across the island and unmarked motorcycles will also be utilised.
