A1 at Glen Vine to be closed for two weekends

The main A1 Peel-Douglas road will be closed in Glen Vine between the Glen Darragh Road junction, near Marown School, and its junction with Ballagarey Road over two consecutive weekends.

The closure will be in place between 6am and 6pm on Saturday-Sunday July 6-7 and Saturday-Sunday July 13-14.

Access to properties will be maintained, and a diversion will be in place via Glen Darragh Road, Braaid Road, Cooil Road, New Castletown Road and Quarterbridge Road.

The closure is required on safety grounds as a connection must be made to the existing drainage system, which is 3 metres deep and in the centre of the road.
