New bill to protect victims of sex crimes

A new bill to ensure the victims of sex crimes are protected and can seek justice gets its first reading in the House of Keys this week.

The Sexual Offences and Obscene Publications Bill 2019 will go before MHKs.

The proposals went out to public consultation earlier this year.

They will bring together and update the current laws on the subject.
