Pulrose woman sentenced for benefit fraud

A Pulrose woman has been given a suspended sentence for benefit fraud totalling £8,000.00.

42 year old Sarah Louise Molyneux, of Oak Avenue, will have to pay back £10 a week for 16 years to pay back the debt.

Magistrates have sentenced her to three months in custody suspended for two years after she pleaded guilty to nine counts of benefit fraud.

The court heard that Molyneux’s file was reviewed by Social Security as part of a fraud exercise and it was discovered she had a job.
