Kirk Michael Steam Railway Line Improvements Begin

Improvement works will begin on the former steam railway line in Kirk Michael today.

The 10-week project will see the closure of the path between Station Road and the Orrisdale Loop Road.

A 2-metre wide paved surface is to be laid, ditches will be cleaned and vegetation trimmed to improve access.

The work will be carried out by contractor Island Drainage and Groundwork on behalf of the Department of Infrastructure.
