Peel lifeboat assist yacht

Peel lifeboat was launched yesterday to assist a yacht which had reported a small fire on board.

The yacht which had left Port Erin earlier in the day was 8 miles South of Peel.

On arrival the crew discovered that it was steam from an overheating engine rather than a fire and towed the vessel back to Peel.
