Horse trams lose £700 during TT fortnight

More than 1,400 passengers used the horse trams during TT fortnight - costing taypayers over £700.

The figures were revealed by Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer during yesterday's sitting of the House of Keys.

The cost of running the horse trams across during the two weeks totalled £2,174.

1,439 people used the shortened service from Strathallan to Switzerland Road.
