A man has died following a collision on the Sloc Road in Colby.
Emergency services were called to the collision involving three motorcycles at just before 10:30am.
A 23-year-old man from West Yorkshire tragically died at the scene.
Each of the other riders involved, both of whom are off island residents, were taken to Nobles Hospital shortly after the collision where one has since been flown to the UK with serious injuries. The name of the rider who died has not yet been formally released.
A section of the Sloc, between the Ballakilpheric junction and the Roundtable was closed for five and a half hours after the crash in order to allow for a collision investigation to be undertaken by officers from the Constabulary’s Collision Investigation Unit together with colleagues from other emergency and support services.
