First races of TT 2019 take place today

Racing is due to get underway at the Isle of Man TT today.

The Superbike race is scheduled to start at 10:45am, before the first Sidecar race takes place at 1pm.

The Mountain Road is due to close from Barrule Park at 9.15am, with the Bungalow to Creg-ny-Baa section shutting from 9.30am, before the rest of the course closes at 10am.

The schedule is subject to change depending on the weather conditions.

09.15: Mountain Course closed Barrule Park Ramsey to Bungalow

09.30: Mountain Course closed Bungalow to Creg Ny Baa

10.00: Rest of the TT Course closed

10.45: RST Superbike Race (4 Laps)

13.00: Locate.im Sidecar TT Race 1 (3 Laps)

15.00: Lightweight qualifying (2 laps)

15.55: TT Zero qualifying (1 lap)

16.50: All roads open except Mountain section (Barrule Park to Cronk Ny Mona)

18.00: All roads closed around the Course

18.30: Monster Energy Supersport TT Race (4 laps)

20.15: Roads open except Mountain section

21.15: All roads open around the Course
