'Reports of a weapon' leads to armed police call to St Johns

Reports of a person carrying a weapon led to a call for police on the Isle of Man yesterday.

Officers from the Tatical Firearms Unit were called out to the St Johns area following reports of a male making threats with a weapon.

Armed officers made an arrest shortly after arrival.

A Isle of Man Constabulary spokesperson said: "A juvenile was dealt with for a number of offences in the St Johns area. He was arrested and bailed to court."
