TT 2019: Manx rider Michael Evans out after breaking collarbone

Tue, 28 May 2019

Manx rider Michael Evans has been ruled out of any further TT action after suffering an injury.

The Douglas-based rider crashed at the Blackfords Pre-TT Classic in the post classic superbike event at Billown on Monday.

Evans was thrown from his bike and sustained a broken collarbone.

Taking to social media, Evans said: "Gutted doesn’t even come close to how I feel at the moment as I’ve worked so hard this season to be ready for TT. Thanks to all the people who make it happen. I’ll be back stronger and faster."

Johnathan Perry has stepped in as replacement rider for Wilcock Consulting Honda.
