Two rescued from inflatable boat

Two people on board a small rigid inflatable boat were rescued by Peel lifeboat yesterday.

The vessel was located by the crew about 1.5miles East of Peel off Whitestrand.

A tow was established and the inflatable was soon returned safely to Peel harbour, both occupants being unharmed.

The cause of the emergency was engine failure and the skipper of the boat carried out all the necessary procedures
