£2M spent on Government staff payouts

The Manx government has paid out more than £2 million in golden goodbyes in the past five years.

The figures have been given by Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas during this week's House of Keys sitting.

He faced questions from MHK Jason Moorhouse about government workers who'd been given payouts of £100,000 or more.

Mr Thomas says 20 such payments have been made since 2014.
