There are no signs of contamination to a stretch of the River Dhoo.

Officials from the Government’s Environmental Protection Unit and Manx Utilities carried out an inspection of the river between Douglas and Union Mills earlier today as a result of a concern raised by a member of the public on social media.

Manx Utilities has confirmed that there are no issues with its infrastructure in the area including the newly constructed Ballagarey Sewage Treatment Work.

No part of the Heritage Trail has been closed as a result of this investigation.
