Apple recalls wall plug adapters used in IOM

The plugs, primarily used in the Isle of Man and UK, Hong Kong and Singapore, were sold with Mac computer and mobile devices between 2003 and 2010.

People on the Island with Apple devices are being asked to check them after a warning the plug adaptors can cause electric shocks.

The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading has issued the advice following a safety notice concerning adaptors shipped with Mac and iOs devices.

Some adaptors have broken, exposing wires and creating the risk of electric shocks.

The affected plugs are white, with no letter on the inside and are for devices made between 2003 and 2010.
