£8M awarded to local groups on Isle of Man

Figures have revealed that more than £8 million has been awarded to Isle of Man-based community projects over the last 30 years by Manx Lottery Trust.

Each year the charity supports as many as 60 schemes on the island, awarding financial grants for the benefit of local people in the community.

The Trustees meet several times a year to consider funding applications, with the aim of supporting as many deserving causes throughout the Island as possible.
